Denim on Denim Outfit

I've always been inspired by Punk fashion and love studs, rivets and metal details.  My personal style is quite edgy, a little rock'n roll and I like styling up menswear with feminine pieces. Here I'm wearing a customized distressed denim from Aeropostale with gold and silver studs and paired it with a denim shirt in a similar shade and a lace cami top underneath. I styled the look with lots of necklaces, bracelets, rings and completed it with a favorite pair of lace-up ankle boots.

Battle

I think finding the right fit or color can be quite time-consuming. However, brands like Levi's, Lee Cooper and Aeropostale have been coming up with great fits for various body types and that is quite a relief.

Denim on Denim Style Tip

I think there are no rules when it comes to styling. However, putting together shades of the same color can be tricky sometimes - for example two different shades of blue in one look! I usually like to pair blues and blacks together or the same color as topwear and bottoms for a perfect denim-on denim visual impact. However, one can also experiment with whites and greys and amp up the look with interesting accessories and a great pair of shoes.
